Press Biography

Deborah Davis's first novel, The Secret of the Seal (Crown), was an IRA Teacher's Choice and Children's Book Council Notable Book. Publishers Weekly called her second novel, My Brother Has AIDS (a Jean Karl Book, Atheneum), “unusually believable” in a starred review. She is the editor of You Look Too Young To Be A Mom: Teen Mothers Speak Out on Love, Learning, and Success (Perigee), which was a New York Public Library Book for the Teen Age. Her newest novel for young adults, Not Like You, was published by Clarion/Houghton Mifflin in July 2007. Deborah lives in Berkeley with her husband and son.
